Bloomberg: Hasbro has shut down development of a game from the creator of Star Wars Jedi

Hasbro has decided to cancel development of an untitled project in the Dungeons & Dragons universe.Bloomberg editor Jason Schreier reported.

The game was produced by the Giant Skull studio, which was founded in 2023 by the creator of the Star Wars Jedi dilogy, Stig Asmussen.The deal with Hasbro was officially announced in June 2025.The team was expected to release an adventure game in the Dungeons & Dragons universe.

The deal was terminated at the beginning of 2026, Schreier said.Representatives of the publisher Wizards of the Coast confirmed the information, clarifying that the management decided not to give the green light to the concept proposed by Asmussen.

Despite this, the parties are interested in continuing cooperation in the future.However, Giant Skull is also negotiating with other partners.

Note that several months ago it became known about the reorganization of Hasbro's video game division.This led to the closure of the Atomic Arcade studio, founded by people from Rocksteady (Batman Arkham).The team was developing a game in the G.I. universe.Joe, in which the main role was given to a mute ninja nicknamed Snake Eyes.
