Duke Nukem 3D 😎 recently celebrated its 30th anniversary.This iconic game not only showed that shooters can be truly interactive when interacting with the environment, but also gave the world a new innovative Build engine.

The technology allowed the creation of complex architectural forms, levels with vertical structures and inclined surfaces, and users experienced true 3D - looking up and down (unlike early Doom), swimming underwater, flying and interacting with the environment (for example, breaking windows or blowing up walls).

But the engine was remembered not only for its technological effectiveness, but also for the pantheon of cult games that were released later on it and forever wrote themselves into history. #game
