I fell in love with the Japanese indie slasher Homura Hime

I'm sure you've never heard of this game.I haven't heard, but the developers sent the key.I decided to take it solely because I thought the art on the cover was stylish - sometimes it’s so easy to get me interested. And I was right.

I won’t talk much about anime-ness.Homura Hime is the most anime-like demon hunter anime out there.Demons are sad, all are former people, almost all are cute girls and usually do harm unconsciously.I feel sorry for everyone, we need to reflect, but first cut down - and the general tone, oddly enough, is humorous.

The main thing is that Homura Hime continues the work of Furi (not furries).Remember this one? Here is the same polished, hypnotizing bullet hell with multi-colored balls, requiring hellish concentration and immersing you in the flow.Nowadays, you can also cite Doom: The Dark Ages as an example, what a timeline.

And the base is just a normal classic slasher in the spirit of Devil May Cry.Only with abilities. And with shooting, like in NieR:Automata. And with parries, you can’t go anywhere without them, but they were like that in DmC too!

Not a drop of souls-likeness!In addition to the DLC for Ninja Gaiden 4 - just great.By the way, they are on the same day - Homura Hime also comes out on March 4th.

Homura Hime is short, purely story-driven and linear.Even leveling up in it is like in slashers of the PS2 era - with the purchase of new combos and “shards” to increase the health bar.The picture is minimalistic, but very neat and clear, it really pleases the eye.Overall quality is almost AA level. And anime asses, again, for every taste.

I really enjoyed the game. For fans of slasher films and Furi, I highly recommend it.Watch the trailer and screenshots on Steam.

I’ve already written about it in more detail in a review on Disgusting Men #game #Steam
