In Japan, a new generation of gamers is growing up with a much weaker connection to Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest than before.

The main reason is the greatly increased development time: new serialized parts are now released every 7–10 years, and during the entire period of elementary school, a child may never see a single new game in these series.

Previously, the situation was different: Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest were released every 1-3 years, accompanying players at different stages of growing up.

This allowed children to regularly experience new installments, forming vivid memories and an emotional attachment to the series that lasted for years to come. #game
