Some elements of the spin-off Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment may find their way into the next The Legend of Zelda game.

• “The inspiration we got from our collaboration with Koei Tecmo may find its way into the next Zelda game we make.Please keep this in mind when playing Age of Imprisonment and look forward to our game,” said producer Eiji Aonuma.

• Aonuma also jokingly noted that it was his team that wanted to be the first to release a new Zelda game on Switch 2, but Koei Tecmo beat them to it.

• Hidemaro Fujibayashi (director of Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom) also praised Koei Tecmo, noting: "They always had ideas that we would never have thought of on our own - it was really inspiring." #game
