Switch 2 ends 2025 with total sales of 4.4 million units in the US

According to Circana analyst Mat Piscatella, the Switch 2 was the best-selling hardware in both units and dollar sales in December 2025 and throughout the year.
That means it "remains the fastest-selling gaming platform in history," the expert noted, pointing out that no other console reached 4.4 million in US sales in its first seven months.
The Switch 2's sales are now 35% higher than the PS4's sales in the same period and "almost double" those of the original Switch.
