As part of the Xbox Games Showcase 2026, Microsoft held an extended gameplay presentation for Gears of War: E-Day, while developers from The Coalition studio shared new information.The game will be released on October 6 on PC and Xbox Series X|S; the version for PlayStation 5 has been cancelled.

Chronologically, E-Day will be a prequel to the original Gears of War.The game will tell about the beginning of the invasion of the Locust Horde (Locusts) on the surface of the planet Sera (E-Day), and the main character will be young Marcus Fenix.

The Coalition calls the new project “the story of a destroyed house.”The events of the game take place in the city of Kalona over three days.E-Day will not have an open world, but the levels are fused together and flow smoothly from one to another in a single space. #game #PC
