Why didn't Tarsier Studios, the authors of Little Nightmares, make a third part?

The creepy but cozy horror story Little Nightmares has a surprisingly toxic community - we have one from there too!Before the release of Little Nightmares III from Supermassive, I read a lot of fan speculation about how publisher Bandai Namco put the developers out in the cold, forcing them to make a “real Little Nightmares 3” under a different name.

Today I just completed REANIMAL and decided to refresh my memory of this whole story.It seemed to me that there was no scandalous departure then... and there really was none. #game
