2K has opened a new AAA studio, Small Axe Studio, almost fully equipped by EA Sports FIFA veterans.

The studio is based in Vancouver, where EA Sports FC also creates, and is working on the next major sports franchise 2K.

Among the key employees:

- Aaron McCarthy's head of studio was FIFA's executive producer for more than 15 years; - Gary Peterson's head of design worked on the series starting with FIFA 06; - also the team has several EA Sports veterans with more than 20 years of experience.

2K has yet to reveal what sport the new game will be in, but the Small Axe logo is designed in the style of a football club coat of arms. #game
