A class action lawsuit was filed against Samsung, SK Hynix and Micron, accusing them of collusion due to price increases. The complaint alleges that the companies simultaneously reduced the production of DDR3 and DDR4, switching resources to HBM, a more expensive memory in demand in AI data centers.The plaintiffs believe that at least one of them should have increased production of conventional DRAM, but in the end they all jumped on the new demand.Separately, the complaint decided to recall how in 2005 Samsung and Hynix already admitted guilt in price fixing, after which they paid huge fines. #game
