According to MP1st, the new Killzone project is in the very early stages of production.
Guerrilla Games is working on a remaster or remake of Killzone with an outside studio. It is not yet known which part of the series is being updated, but the most likely candidate is the first Killzone of 2004.
Initially, the project was to be Guerrilla's next priority after Horizon Hunters Gathering, but after reports of the game being relaunched due to negative reviews, the team's main focus is now on it.
According to MP1st, Horizon 3 is planned after the next Killzone project, although due to the early stage of production plans may still be changed.
A full reboot of the series was also discussed, but most often the sources speak of a visually updated version of one of the old games.
It is assumed that the main development could be led by People Can Fly. In 2025, the studio signed an agreement with PlayStation to co-develop a project under the codename Delta, based on existing Sony IP. MP1st believes that it may be Killzone, but there is no definitive confirmation yet.
