Compulsion Games purchased the studio from management and officially left Microsoft. The deal was completed just nine days ago.

The studio has also recovered its IP and publishing rights to the games.

Compulsion CEO Guillaume Provost said the deal was primarily needed to keep the team together, saying the employees preferred to stay together rather than split up into other studios.

Compulsion is now independent again and plans to continue to create interesting, strange stories and strange worlds. #game
