Fresh details of Valor Mortis – a soul slide about a soldier during the Napoleonic Wars
One More Level gave a great interview.Main:
• The developers were inspired by the iconic soulslices - Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and Bloodborne. But some gameplay elements were influenced by Bioshock and Dishonored.
• The game will have elements of body horror. And in general, the developers wanted to show the Napoleonic Wars through the prism of horror.
• The first-person view was chosen specifically - the studio believes that this enhances immersion. It might also bring some fresh air into the world of soulslices. And the developers honestly admitted that they have no experience in third-person games (both parts of Ghostrunner were from the first).
• The developers already have plans for post-release support - if Valor Mortis is successful, the game will receive free DLC and content updates.
• There will be no difficulty levels. The game will be difficult, but fair.
The developers also gave advice - before Valor Mortis, go through Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice to learn how to parry perfectly, and Bloodborne to become more aggressive in direct combat.
Valor Mortis releases October 13th on
#PS5 and other platforms.
