From the Nintendo cartridge to the Switch card game: Nintendo's history in our own way
This is a picture of Nintendo's evolution, but for many of us, this story didn't start with an NES word, it started with a familiar one:
Yellow cartridges, tulips and third channel. While playing NES abroad, we got acquainted with her games through Dendy and other unofficial compatible consoles. Cartridges were bought in markets and kiosks, changed in the yard and signed so that a friend would accidentally remember to return . And the inscription 9999 games in 1 did not promise thousands of different games. 😂
️ Mario knew everything, but not everyone saw Super Nintendo. For many, the next step was the Sega Mega Drive. So the SNES and Nintendo 64 with their unusual cartridges and cult games someone discovered themselves much later: through emulators, retro clubs or their own collection.
Game Boy a dream from magazines and from the showcase. Someone really had it, and someone could only be jealous of the owner of the real portable Tetris with pokemon. True, many of us have a pocket gaming that started with the Brick Game Tetris with the same dancers.
GameCube, Wii, and Wii U are a different branch of memory. GameCube's little discs and unusual Wii controllers are not familiar to everyone, but for their owners, it's a separate story of favorite games and friends' nights.
🔴 And then Switch and cartridges again. Only now instead of a healthy yellow case a small game card. And many people don't have a shoe box with games anymore, but a neat collection on the shelf. Although the joy of buying something new is the same.
What did your story start with, Dendy, Game Boy or Switch? And what cartridge would you like to bring back from your childhood? 👇
