Negotiations are currently underway for the return of Margo Robbie, Ryan Gosling and Greta Gerwig, but Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav has so far refused to meet their financial requirements, considering the terms requested to be too generous.

If the parties fail to reach an agreement by December, Mattel plans to re-launch the Barbie franchise without Warner Bros.
