Halo: Campaign Evolved's debut on PS5 was rather weak.
According to Circana's release date, July 28:
On Xbox, the game was launched by 8% of active users 4th place by daytime audience. On Steam 2% of users and 14th place. On PS5 only 1% of players in the US and 29th place.
The average console player spent more than two hours in Halo, and the game itself was among the top selling games in the PlayStation Store.
Analyst Matt Piscattella noted that for the new single-player game, the numbers are generally not bad, especially given the dominance of large service projects, but the data only applies to the United States, so it's too early to draw definitive sales conclusions.
