⛸ I came across an interesting indie on Twitter.Canadian studio Ravine Studios is making North Shore, an unusual isometric game in which the character explores the icy expanses on skates.
Gameplay is built around realistic skating mechanics, where inertia, friction and precise timing play a key role.More advanced techniques, such as spinning and sliding, will require a sense of rhythm. An important element is not to lose speed when falling.Puzzles will be tied to this.Squats, jumps, dives and takeoffs from springboards look realistic and beautiful in terms of animations. The sound of the crunching ice is like a cannon. In the story, the player controls a lost child who explores an icy world in search of answers. There will also be combat, as the bosses are announced to be dark and there is gunfire in the trailer.
North Shore has already won the "Organizers' Choice for the Best Game of the Exhibition" at the MAGFest 2026 festival. I want a game about Ciri with my favorite episode from the book "The Tower of the Swallow".North Shore has a Steam page.
