Insider: Sony is accepting offers to revive Sly Cooper, Ape Escape and Killzone

Sony Interactive Entertainment has begun considering third-party developers' proposals for new games for the old PlayStation Studios franchises, according to a ResetEra user named thisiserfan, who previously disclosed the existence of God of War: Sons of Sparta prior to the official announcement.

According to him, the company is ready to enter into licensing agreements that allow other studios to work with its IP.

The acceptance of the proposals does not mean that the projects for all of the series listed above are approved and are in full development. however thisiserfan suggests that the first games under this initiative may appear around the time of the PlayStation 6 launch.

For example, Ape Escape developed the defunct Japan Studio, and Guerrilla Games after Killzone switched completely to Horizon.

The licensing could allow Sony to recover many of the classic franchises by third-party teams.
