Intel is hinting at a possible return to the memory market.
The company's CEO, Lip-Bu Tan, said that one of his favorite projects now is a new memory architecture, which Intel has already attracted former SK hynix executive Sook-Hee Lee to work on.
According to Tan, combining processors and memory can give companies serious advantages, and the market itself lacks new architectural solutions.
Intel hasn't released any details yet, but the announcements look like a clue to the company's return to memory production, and given the current OSH shortage, it's really hard to think of a better time to do that.
