Island Escape: Capcom officially unveils Resident Evil: Veronica
As part of the Summer Game Fest, the Japanese company Capcom officially announced a remake of the cult horror game Resident Evil Code: Veronica.The game, called Resident Evil: Veronica, will be released in 2027 on PC, Xbox Series X|S, PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2.
The horror story takes place several months after the ending of Resident Evil 2. The story centers on Claire Redfield, who infiltrates the Umbrella facility in search of her brother Chris.
Everything doesn't go according to plan, so the girl is captured and ends up on the isolated Rockford Island.To escape, Claire will have to join forces with another prisoner, Steve Burnside.
Apparently, Capcom will update the Veronica gameplay formula to the modern standards set by the Resident Evil 2 remake.
