Jason Schreyer has spoken about the internal situation at Rockstar following the new GTA 6 leaks.
After Rockstar was hacked in 2022, the company began requiring employees to work out of the office five days a week in early 2024 and severely restricted remote access to internal tools.
According to Schreyer, the morale within Rockstar has declined, and the management is barely commenting on the situation. One of the top managers sent a letter condemning the smith's actions and tried to calm the team, saying that the players' interest in their work would not go away.
Netflix is also unhappy with what happened.
Schreyer specifically stressed that GTA 6 is not yet complete: development is ongoing, and the staff will work on the game until release.
What's more, Rockstar has confirmed a leak of an Xbox Graphics Capture file from a box office receipt.
It's alleged to have been a phishing attack on one of the company's employees.
It's not a game build, but the file contains a significant amount of GTA 6 data, including 3D models, textures, and map related information.
Community members have already drawn:
- height maps; - the texture of the mini-map - the interface; - additional map assets.
The file itself has not yet been released to the public, but even the extracted data could reveal new details of GTA 6.
