Last Sentinel, an ambitious cyberpunk project Lightspeed LA, positioned as an AAA competitor to GTA, has been frozen. It was presented out loud at The Game Awards 2023. Development lasted six years and cost hundreds of millions of dollars, but failed playlists and final review led to Tencent's decision to drop the project this prompted the firing of 80 developers.
