Phantom Blade Zero is moving confidently towards a successful launch.
According to Alinea Analytics, within the first week of pre-orders, the game sold about 300,000 copies on Steam and brought in $14.5 million.
Also, Phantom Blade Zero has already added over 1.6 million Steam users to the list, the best result among games coming out this year.
For comparison, 70 days before the release:
- Phantom Blade Zero about 286 thousand copies; - Wuchang: Fallen Feathers about 45 thousand; - Black Myth: Wukong about 393 thousand.
So the Phantom Blade Zero is now at about 73% of Wukong's performance for the same period.
Interest in China is also high, although the Black Myth: Wukong phenomenon is far from over, with the game being licensed for official release in the country, using Chinese culture and martial arts actively, and Donnie Yen serving as a consultant and participating in capturing movements.
Sony is also actively promoting the project: a separate State of Play, materials in the PlayStation Blog, support for tactile feedback, adaptive triggers, and 3D audio.
