PS Plus and digital copies of the games have increased Sony's profits by 360% over the past 10 years

• Sales of DLC, digital copies and other software: +360%; • Revenue from PS Plus: +303%; • Revenue from physical copies: -33%;

From fiscal 2018 to 2025 (until March 31, 2026), sales of disc versions have fallen by 58%.

Digital has become the most popular way to buy games, but that doesn't mean Sony has to deprive players of a choice, because the sales of discs are still showing some signs of life on the market.
