Sony has announced that the PlayStation Store will open digital pre-orders for God of War: Laufey on September 29. The release of the new game from Santa Monica Studio will be on February 16, 2027, exclusively for PlayStation 5.

The main heroine of the game is Lafee (Faye) , the second wife of Kratos and the mother of Atreus. After the death of the giant, Lafee finds himself in a place called Eternity (Everywhen) in the afterlife for the fallen gods. Lafee must uncover the secrets of this place to find a way back home.
