Sony quietly updated the basic PlayStation 5 hardware, made it better, made it worse.

The update was found in the last batch of consoles limited on Marvels Wolverine:

• The motherboard is equipped with a new replaceable CMOS-battery CR2032 with simplified access, no longer needing to disassemble the entire console;

• The overall composition of maternity pay is simplified;

• The liquid metal cooling system is completely reworked the design and materials are almost the same as the PS5 Pro;

• The HDMI relay is replaced by a cheaper and simpler version.

According to the engineer who worked out the new revision, the changes do not have a significant impact on the efficiency or heating, so replacing the old revision with a new one is not necessary.
