The developer of one of the major studios was working on a game that would provide an erotic experience with the PlayStation controller.
Eurogamer magazine interviewed developers about their side projects, and one of the respondents, who wanted to remain anonymous, spoke about one very unusual game.
I wanted to create a game about care and attention that we don't often give to everyday objects in our lives, and the idea came to me a few years ago when I started making coffee, and I felt the spinning of the cereal in the coffee maker, the dripping of the water on the ground grains, the weight of the teacup.
And then I realized that I felt ignorant about the controller because I thought it was just a controller, and then I started making a game that would bring the gamepad to life, make you think, "Well, isn't this little object amazing?"
The game uses only the DualSense controller and its adaptive sensors to create a sense of intimacy and non-verbal communication with the device. There's no graphics or visuals, only a LED built into the gamepad. When the game launches, the controller's desired state is created, and then the player, without any instructions, experiments to get to that state. You'll know that you're doing everything right, by vibration. It mimics the heartbeat. The closer you get to the desired state, the more frequent the vibration. But if you press the wrong button, the pulse bounces, and then it stops. And then you go back to the metal.
My roommate, who tried it, described it as an erotic experience with a DualSense controller, and I want to apologize for hurting him, and one day when I have more time, I'll release this game for free.
