The developers of Castlevania: Belmont's Curse admitted that they intentionally made some of the characters sexually attractive.
Leading designer Sandro Bordé said the team is well aware of how hot some of the characters are:
Yeah, we know that some characters look sexy, and that's a conscious choice, and we like the atmosphere, and we're proud of that.
When asked about fanatic drawings of an open-minded nature, the developer replied that the team expected a similar reaction, and the artists themselves had already begun to appear.
Marketing director Berange Dupré even joked that fans' reaction to Trevor Belmont would have made it worth setting up a separate The Game Awards nomination for hot daddies.
The developers are happy that the players liked the character design.
