The original Spy Hunter by Bally was released on arcades back in 1983 and was a huge success. In 1987 Sunsoft licensed Spy Hunter port to the NES. But it was a bit late. At the time, the endless arcade game of the early 80s seemed primitive and outdated. A little later, Sunsoft, "inspired" by Spy Hunter, decided to make the same shield, but more expensive - and in 1991 Formula Battle was released. #game
