The remastered Dragon Age trilogy in the spirit of Mass Effect: Legendary Edition is unlikely to happen.

According to former series executive producer Mark Darra, BioWare was actually considering a collection called Champions Edition that would combine Origins, Dragon Age 2 and Inquisition.

The main problem is technology. The first two parts are running on their own BioWare engines based on Aurora Engine, and there's hardly any specialists left in the studio who know how to work with them.

The remasters would have to put together a new team to distract BioWare from other projects, and the studio is now focused on the next Mass Effect, so Darra thinks it's unlikely that we'll return to the old trilogy. #game
