Ubisoft canceled Alterra, the same Animal Crossing clone, Insider Gaming reports. According to the publication, the developers learned about the cancellation today, but have not fired anyone yet.Development lasted three years and its creative director was Patrick Redding (story director of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist and co-op Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction).The game itself was a mixture of Animal Crossing and Minecraft, where players could build anything from scrap materials.The characters were reminiscent of Funko Pop in design, and the world had many different voxel biomes with unique creatures to fight. #game
