Valve has started beta testing a new Steam achievement system that allows them to be combined into separate sets.

Major changes:

Developers will be able to group achievements by additions, game modes, character classes and other categories.

Each set will have its own progression scale.

The DLC gains will be taken into account separately and will not affect the overall statistics if the supplement is not purchased.

The opportunity to archive seasonal and inaccessible achievements will be available.

Updating the achievement page with search, filters and the ability to compare progress with three friends at once.

The section Ideal games is renamed to Completed.

The new system is now available in Steam beta. Among the first games to support Portal 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Team Fortress 2, Forza Horizon 5, Crusader Kings III and others. #game #Steam
