What they showed during the GTA VI demonstration:
By playing Jason, you can call Lucia and offer to spend time together in the open world.
During a meeting, the characters can kiss, and during a walk hold hands.
Jason and Lucia can ride a car, walk around, and visit different places together without being tied to the plot.
While visiting the gym, Lucia was practicing on the runway while Jason was doing the sit-ups.
Before a bank robbery, you can inspect the building and assess the risks.
Cash can be deposited through ATMs. Rockstar wants money to be more valuable because it's risky to carry it with you.
Characters can break into offices, turn off alarms, and rob businesses without attracting attention.
There are hundreds of small interiors available for exploration.
You can go to a barber shop and change your hair (wow information)
Casual encounters with passersby can turn into fights and lead to a police call.
The search system has become more complex, and the police can remember details about the suspects, including that Jason and Lucia are acting as a couple.
To escape persecution, characters can separate and hide separately.
According to development manager Rob Nelson, the ability to spend time with your partner in free mode is a whole new way to play GTA.
Schreyer also noted that the story of Jason and Lucia, judging from the visuals, is more like the approach of Red Dead Redemption 2 than GTA V. At the center of the story are two people who really enjoy spending time together.
GTA VI is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026.
