Xbox CEO Ash Sharma said the company will continue to create new game franchises despite the massive cuts and restructuring of the studios.

At the Xbox internal meeting, she stressed that Microsoft would focus on developing the biggest franchises, including Fallout, Call of Duty, Candy Crush, and World of Warcraft, but would not give up new IPs.

We're betting on our strongest franchises. I want our best games to become global franchises with billions in revenue. But I also want us to keep building new IPs that can last for years. We're not going to survive if we just rely on the past. We need new approaches and the courage to create new franchises that will attract new audiences.

Sharma also talked about plans to simplify the structure of Microsoft's gaming divisions and expand its presence in the casual gaming market. #game
