AI equipment became so expensive that criminals began stealing entire trucks with video cards and servers.

According to an NBC News investigation, since June 2026, the attackers have stolen more than $100 million worth of data center equipment.

Criminals hack into the accounts of transportation companies, fake documents, and pretend to be real carriers, and sometimes they even change the GPS coordinates of trucks so that the owners don't notice that the equipment was sent to the wrong destination.

But one of the most impressive cases was when the attackers stole servers worth $13 million, and they accidentally drove a ride-hailing car, and then the truck with the equipment vanished without a trace.

According to Overhaul, in 92 percent of the cases of high-tech theft, criminals used deception rather than direct assault.

With the rise of artificial intelligence, servers and video cards are gradually turning into new gold, and they're already organizing criminal operations for them. #game
