PlayStation 5 sales have reached 95.3 million copies while this year-to-year they have dropped markedly

Sony has published the following financial statements for the period from April 1 to June 30 of this year:

• 1.6 million PS5 consoles were sold during the same period, down 36% from the same period last year.

• 66.1 million PS5 and PS4 games were sold during the same period, up 0.3% from the same period last year.

• Sony's in-house games have sold 6 million copies, down 15% from the same period last year.

• 82% of games sold are digital copies.

• The number of active PSN users was 125 million people 2 million more than last year.

Sony also increased its revenue forecast this year, and the current quarter as a whole has shown a profit growth.
