SEGA has pulled out the nightmarish remaster of Total War: SHOGUN 2
SEGA officially acknowledged the failure of this week's release of the remaster Total War: SHOGUN 2. The reason was the game's poor technical condition.
SEGA has promised to update the graphics, add 64-bit support, refine the control and expand the faction set. In practice, users are scolding developers for the terrible optimization, numerous technical problems, the use of AI-art with six-legged Portuguese and Japanese samurai with the faces of Star Wars stormtroopers (the neural network interpreted as a character's mustache and nose sight) and so on.
According to SEGA's official statement, the remastered Total War: SHOGUN 2 did not live up to the company's or users' expectations, so it was decided to withdraw the strategy from sales on Steam.
Total War: SHOGUN 2 Complete Edition was developed not by Creative Assembly, but by the Polish studio Mataboo, which already has a number of unsuccessful reissues in its portfolio.
