Sony provided itself with memory reserves to avoid a PS5 shortage ahead of the GTA 6 release.
In its latest financial report for the first quarter of 2026, the Japanese giant assured investors and players that the necessary components for the console's production would be enough at least until March 2027.
GTA 6 will be released on November 19, 2026, and will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series at launch.
Sony even sent PS4 owners notifications with a recommendation to update in advance while the devices were available.
