Kepler_L2's insider has once again leaked the characteristics of Project Canis the next PlayStation portable console.
• Processor (APU) custom AMD Canis with 3 mm architecture, 6 Zen 6 cores and 5 RDNA graphics on 16 computing blocks; • Operational and video memory 24 GB total; • Energy consumption 1525 W.
The console will be actively using PSSR 3.0. So, the basic rendering resolution will be 540p, and the upscale will pull it up to 1080p.
The performance without an upscaler would be 4.91 teraflops in mobile mode and 6.75 teraflops when connected to the charging. But the PSSR 3.0 is amazing.
And now for the annoying part, the console is going to be expensive. The rumors that were circulating about $600 are now seemingly unrealistic, primarily due to the fact that all the iron is going through the neural networks.
