According to the eXtas1s insider, Microsoft is preparing a Disc-to-Digital program and expanding Xbox backwards compatibility.

In the devious road map , it 's said:

July 2026 Disc-to-Digital public beta for Xbox Insider members and early access to backwards compatibility with the original Xbox;

August 2026 launch of the program for all Xbox One and Xbox Series X owners;

October 2026 release of games from the original Xbox on PC via Game Pass and Xbox Store;

20272028 the gradual addition of Xbox 360 games to future Xbox devices.

eXtas1s suggests that publishers will be able to charge for converting physical copies of the games to digital. #game #PC
