Crystal Dynamics has announced to MP1st that Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis will be the first step into a new era of the franchise.

The main details:

* A reimagining of the original 1996 Tomb Raider, designed for both series veterans and newcomers.

* The game will be both a remake and a link between the original trilogy and the Survivor trilogy.

* Dangerous investigations, complex puzzles, battles with predators, and spectacular scenes remain.

* You'll be able to choose between classic gameplay and Survivor mechanics, including optional craft and jumping.

* Realistic survival elements: for example, medical items will have to be created independently, rather than finding ancient pharmacies.

* Contemporary graphics, classic costumes and a more human image of Lara, inspired by the 2013 reboot.

* The campaign will run for 14-16 hours and is scheduled for release on February 12 on PS5, Xbox Series XS, Switch 2 and PC.
