Former PlayStation executive explains why Bloodborne 2 still doesn't exist

In The Trophy Room, Sean Leiden suggested that the main problem was legal difficulties. According to him, to create a sequel to Sony, FromSoftware and its parent company Kadokawa, it was necessary to reach an agreement with each other, and to get the consensus of all parties was not so easy.

While Leiden praised Sony's collaboration with FromSoftware, he noted another difficulty: Even if all the legal issues were solved, developers would have to figure out how to not just replicate the original, but create something just as meaningful.
