Cyberpunk 2077 - its developer criticized the company, but did not rule out negotiations
CDPR may allow the modification to remain, but the developer will have to reconsider its distribution policy for the mod.
Recently, CD Projekt RED lawyers issued a DMCA strike to a popular VR mod for Cyberpunk 2077. Modder LukeRoss distributed it to subscribers on Patreon.
CDPR representative Ian Rosner commented on the blocking of the mod:
I'd like to briefly touch on the discussion surrounding the Cyberpunk VR mod created by Luke Ross.We did issue a DMCA strike because the mod was available as a paid mod (Patreon subscribers only).This directly violates our fan content guidelines: we never allow monetization of our franchise without our express permission and/or a signed agreement. #game
