Konrad Tomashkevich, game director of The Blood of Dawnwalker, beautifully spoke about the key approach to game creation.
"We don't want to measure our games in the millions of copies sold. It takes money to make the next part, but we want to set ourselves a task that meets our artistic and creative needs.
I'd prefer to measure the game by the opinions of the fans and the reaction that comes from enjoying the game, perhaps by the awards that will be an achievement for us as artists.
This approach is particularly relevant in the context of many major studios reporting on sales immediately after release, putting the commercial results above everything else. If you think about sales in the process of creating a game, if you try to build it for sale, it will fail from the very beginning".
That's nice, but the price of Dawnwalker starts at the AAA standard of $69.99, and it's about the rubles and I don't want to write (5k). Why not $59.99, like Baldur's Gate 3 when it launched?
