️ Tonight in the night slot I'm going to tell you about Roots' DLC faction called Roots for the Songs of Conquest strategy.
Roots has a rather unusual design for hero-style games. It's a mixture of undead and plants. It's like a giant tree, like an elf, looking for vessels for its seeds. It's different characters from other factions.
In terms of units, the faction is unusual in that it has no typical tanks, as well as strong shooters. It is mainly represented by various short-range assault units. There are "buzzards", which jump to the most distant ranks with maximum rattling. There are non-living losses, which run far and instill such fear that they cannot even answer. There are plants "Vivodors", which make a plow and after appearing on the next move on any geck of the map attack with a circular attack.
But these were pretty ordinary units. But here are two that stand out. There's a plant laser that burns the entire battlefield without any mercy to its own and to others. It fires whenever it gets damaged. And the unit of maximum torque of the Horn is completely free of attack. It's just a tree that tanks by rolling geeks around its roots. It strengthens its own and weakens its own. It also inflicts little damage on enemies and one can be tied in the move.
The roots also have better prospects for magic, as their units generate an additional "man" of all kinds if they're standing next to each other. The fraction suffers from good shooters and militia units that can attack with one move.
I like Lavapotion's idea of new factions, and now I'm going to try the recent Yulan.
