NVIDIA has been accused of artificially creating a shortage of video game cards for huge earnings on artificial intelligence.

Analyst Ed Zitron believes the company is deliberately heating up the hype around AI accelerators, forcing tech giants to buy equipment for years to come.

According to him, NVIDIA is using the fear of missing the AI boom to convince Amazon, Microsoft and other corporations to buy huge batches of chips even if they don't have the infrastructure to use them yet.

For example, according to the media, Amazon has bought NVIDIA's server stands for about $5 billion, even though some data centers don't have the power to run them yet.

At the same time, TSMC's manufacturing capacity is increasingly being used to produce expensive AI accelerators, which limits the production of consumer video cards and drives up prices.

Citron warns that such a strategy could lead to the formation of a huge hardware bubble, and that if tech companies cut costs on AI, the market risks running an oversupply of equipment and a sharp drop in demand. #game #Strategy
