Reddit featured an alleged Xbox Elite Series 3 prototype - a user bought a controller for $200 via OfferUp.
It looks similar to the Elite Series 2, but has a small LCD screen next to the coupling button.
It's supposed to help you switch between devices.
Below are the two wheels of the scroll, whose purpose is not yet known - among the variants is called noise control or additional functions in games such as aircraft simulators.
The controller uses a 1528 mA·h battery. For comparison, the Elite Series 2 battery is calculated at approximately 2050 mA·h.
It is not yet known whether Microsoft has switched to TMR or Hall Effect sticks that could solve the drift problem.
The user who purchased the prototype has not yet been able to connect it to an Xbox or PC - either by cable or wireless.
Microsoft hasn't officially announced the Xbox Elite Series 3 yet.
