The developers of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic once spent a whole day trying to prove to Lucasfilm that Star Wars characters could still speak the language.
According to BioWare veteran Mark Darra, Lucasfilm argued that the word should not be used in the universe.
Then one of the KOTOR writers reviewed the films and found three examples: in New Hope, Empire Retaliates and Attack of the Clones.
But even the evidence didn't help - most KOTOR use cases were still removed.
"The rightful owner always wins", Darra summed up.
