The sequel to Baldur's Gate 3 came from where we didn't expect it - HBO will film a sequel series to Baldur's Gate 3. The series will take place immediately after the events of the game.New characters will appear in the series and old heroes will return - together they will clear up the consequences of the threequel.
The showrunner for the Baldur's Gate series will be Craig Mazin, the author of The Last of Us and Chernobyl. He promises that he will contact the original BG3 actors and try to somehow involve them in the series.Mazin is also, in his words, a fan of Baldura, in which he spent “over a thousand hours and completed it on hard”, as well as a fan of D&D in general - he has been a master for the last 15 years, and played the last game just before signing a deal with Hasbro this evening.
The series will preserve the tradition of D&D and show how new “first level” adventurers will explore the world, level up, face different adventures (along the way, meeting old heroes from BG3), and eventually become real heroes (if they don’t merge, throwing a one in the season finale)
