Sony in its financial report publicly supported Marathon the game is alive and no plans to kill it.

The company stated that after the release of the second season, the game maintains a high level of player retention and attracts new players.

Now Marathon is transforming: full-fledged PvE content is being added to the game, and in the future, a special PvPvE experience is being promised.

But Destiny 2 isn't mentioned in the report at all despite the fact that after the final update, the game showed a huge surge in gamers and still holds up online more times than the Marathon.
